Welcome to Corcoran's Pod at Tig Lammax
Tig Lammax is nestled in the valley at Toames West cross, just 6km from the market town of Macroom.
Our accommodation available to book is a modern Glamping Pod known as Corcoran's Pod, after Timmy Corcoran who built the original cottage in 1901. We also have a guest room in the house but this is reserved for long-term guests - telephone Moira for information and availability.
While you are welcome for your overnight stop between Cork City and the Ring of Kerry, we are also well placed as a base for exploring all that County Cork can offer, from Midleton, Fota and Cobh in the east, to the delights of West Cork and Kerry.
We will be delighted to arrange your itinerary for a two to four-night stay (or more), making sure that you don't miss any of the main tourist opportunities of the region.
We also welcome visiting business people, especially from Danone Nutricia (5 mins away), as well as the local businesses in Coolcower and Macroom.

Please note that we no longer serve food. However, we have a kitchen in the Outhouse for the use of our guests so you will be able to make your own meals.

Our 234 guests (so far in 2023) were very happy with their stay in Corcoran's Pod. We aim to improve on this score in time to come!

This summer we have continued to receive lovely reviews from our guests. Here are a couple of recent pages from our guest book. 
We are not perfect and there are occasionally things that we can improve upon. When guests point out areas for improvement we do our best to make it happen.

Upgrades in 2025
Dunring the past few.konths we have had a number of uograde to make your experience better including new toilet and washbasin on the shower room and a new mattress for the double bed on the Pod.
2025 has been a good year for us with some wonderful guests from some interesting countries as well as the regular French, German, Italian and Spanish guests who usually patronise us on their travels from Cork or Killarney.
Summer 2023
We are open again! After a short break for renovations we are delighted to announce that our Glamping Pod is open to guests once more, after a winter with a long term guest who is now staying in the guest room in the house. We look forward to greeting you soon. Moira
